Hello, I'm Arya! My therapeutic style is reflective, exploratory, and analytical. I balance connection and positive regard with clear communication and a desire to uncover the truth of your experience, even when it is uncomfortable. I work to create a space that is safe, intellectually and emotionally playful, and rooted in curiosity. I believe that we are our best selves when we more fully know ourselves, and I hope to build that experience with you. My approach to therapy is based in **psychodynamic thought**; I believe that it is important to understand how your history impacts you, and how your early relationships shape how you view and interact with the world. I also make use of **existential** ideas to reflect on the big questions in life, and **humanistic theory** to make sense of the emotional world that you and I inhabit during our time together. Put simply, I want to sit together with you in the therapy room and build an understanding of you and your life in as deep and profound of a way as we can. By nature, this is reflective, exploratory, and long-term work.
