## In their own words

\#**Credentials** Master of Science in Physical Therapy Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science #**Professional Interests** Bryson is a dedicated graduate of the University of Alberta’s Masters of Physical Therapy program, motivated by a passion for helping others that began with his own rehabilitation journey after sports injuries. His firsthand experiences demonstrated the transformative impact of physiotherapy, inspiring him to provide that same level of support to his patients. Before becoming a physical therapist, Bryson earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in North Dakota, where he played four years of collegiate hockey. This experience not only equipped him with foundational skills in exercise prescription but also allowed him to apply theoretical knowledge in practical training and rehabilitation settings. Throughout his educational journey, Bryson has gained valuable experience in a variety of environments, including orthopedic clinics, acute care hospitals, neuro rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities. He believes that collaborative decision-making and understanding a client’s full story are essential for developing effective, individualized treatment plans that help patients achieve their goals. In his practice, Bryson employs a range of techniques, including patient education, manual therapy, IMS/Functional Dry Needling, therapeutic exercise, and self-management strategies, all tailored to support his patients in reaching their specific objectives. Additionally, Bryson has pursued further training in vestibular rehabilitation and running assessment/rehabilitation, enhancing his ability to address diverse patient needs. #**Personal Interests** In his free time Bryson enjoys spending time biking, rollerblading or walking with his two dogs in the river valley. He is also involved with hockey communities around the city, most recently as a trainer with a U18AAA hockey club. He desires to continue to visit new places around the world and appreciates any recommendations. #**Sports:** Hockey, basketball, volleyball, strength training, long distance running
