She is an expert in her field and clearly engages in constant professional learning and development. Not only is she an amazing pelvic floor physio she also knows her stuff for the entire body! I continue to see her even though I am done having children as she can help with any physical challenges. Most recently she helped me with my TMJ pain. She takes a holistic approach to treatment and really takes time to understand her patients. She is a trauma informed practitioner and has always been very explicit about getting continuous consent to proceed with every step of treatment as well as checking in to ensure I am comfortable. I had trauma issues and was explicit about that. She handled me so roughly that I had bruising on my inner thighs. She said that was normal and fine when I emailed photos of the bruising. During the appointment I was shouting in pain from the pressure. She did not ease up. If I go in and say explicitly, that I've had trauma, I shouldn't have to tell my physio to stop being so rough and hurting me. I cancelled follow ups and she called to ask why which felt aggressive to me. Awful experience. It took me over a year to even be able to share this experience.
