## In their own words

Natalie (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate who is passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and authenticity. Natalie believes therapy works best when people feel genuinely understood and empowered to be themselves. Natalie works with youth aged 13+, post-secondary students, adults, and parents or caregivers. Her professional background includes community mental health, intimate partner violence support, crisis intervention, intensive in-home family services, and individual counselling. Natalie supports youth and adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, identity development, academic stress, career uncertainty, life transitions, or experiences of trauma. Natalie also works alongside parents and caregivers who are looking for support with parenting strategies, communication, behaviour management, boundary setting, and strengthening their connection with their child or teen. Natalie works with folks of all genders, sexualities, and neurodivergent experiences. Providing 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming care to folks is an important part of Natalie’s practice. As someone who came out later in life, she understands that identity development is deeply personal and often complex. Natalie has experience supporting clients navigating concerns related to sexual orientation, gender identity, coming out, relationships, self acceptance, family dynamics, and the impacts of stigma and minority stress. Whether you are exploring your identity, navigating a transition, or simply looking for a therapist who understands the importance of affirming care, Natalie strives to create a space where you feel welcomed, respected, and valued exactly as you are. Natalie’s approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. She draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed practices. Rather than fitting people into a specific model, she will work alongside clients to find approaches that align with their goals, values, strengths, and lived experiences. Outside of her work, you'll usually find Natalie spending time with her partner, kiddos, and rescue dogs. She loves going on adventures, trying new restaurants, attending concerts, watching movies and television, and enjoying time with the people who matter most to her. Natalie is accepting both in-person and virtual clients, and has evening and weekend appointment availability.
