“I recently visited Celtic Knot and had an experience that left me feeling extremely disappointed, so I felt the need to share it. As a newcomer to the area, I was hoping to find a new spot for some relaxation and healing. I decided to try Celtic Knot after seeing their positive reviews online, but sadly, my visit didn’t live up to the hype. I arrived a little early, as I usually do, to fill out any necessary forms and get settled in. The receptionist was polite, but that was about the only positive part of my visit. I had booked a session online, and despite confirming my appointment earlier in the day, when I arrived, there was no mention of the time or therapist assigned to me. I was handed a generic “welcome” package and asked to wait. I didn’t mind much at first, but it set the tone for the rest of my visit. When the therapist finally came to greet me, she seemed in a rush. She barely made eye contact and didn’t introduce herself properly, which already felt a bit off. After guiding me to the treatment room, I was instructed to undress and lie down. I followed all instructions carefully, as I do in any professional setting, but it became clear that she wasn’t paying much attention. For starters, the lighting in the room was too bright, and there was an odd smell that lingered, which I tried to ignore. The massage itself was incredibly rushed. It felt more like she was ticking boxes than actually providing a relaxing experience. The pressure was inconsistent, and there were moments where she seemed distracted, even chatting with another staff member outside the room. I had to ask her several times to focus on my lower back, and every time, I felt like I was interrupting her flow. There was no real effort to make me feel comfortable or to personalize the session. To top it off, the session felt much shorter than advertised. I had booked an hour-long massage, but I was out of there after only 40 minutes. When I brought it up with the receptionist afterward, she just shrugged and said, “Sometimes therapists run behind.” No apology, no offer to make things right. Overall, the lack of attention to detail and the rushed nature of the service made my experience feel more like a factory line than a relaxing treatment. For the price, I was expecting much more than I received. I would not recommend Celtic Knot to anyone looking for a peaceful and professional massage. “I had the pleasure of meeting with Shaylin today, and I couldn't be happier with my results. Shaylin is very thorough, and is very good with therapeutic massage. As someone who has chronic back/shoulder pain due to previous injury, I have had many massages and Shaylin is by far one of the best. She ensures to get your full history and then decides what treatment will be, she explains everything and once treatment is finished she explains what the best follow up should be after treatment. ““I’m supposed to have sore legs and a stiff back and shoulders at this age”, “I don’t need a massage”. These are phrases I’ve said to my wife many times. And then she made me an appointment at Celtic Knot. Not only was the massage great, the communication during the massage helped me understand why I was having issues with mobility in my legs and stiffness in my back and shoulders. Embarrassingly, I was actually emotional when I could move better at the end of my first massage than anytime in the last 10 years.
