“Very friendly staff, always great appointment reminders, really great about insurance. The hygienists are so lovely and the dentist is gentle (which is honestly so appreciated)and he explains things so they make sense. Options of care are given and nothing is ever pushed on you. “I am usually a white knuckle dentist patient,but I was quickly calmed down by all the staff at Barkman Dental Studio. “Highly recommend Barkman Dental. Even in the past, before renamed, it was a great dentist office. I've had bad experiences at a last dentist, and had taken about 8-10yrs away from going. And had a lot of work to be done. The level of care and patience they took with me, in regards to my anxiety, was amazing. Not just using freezing and not caring that I could still feel it, and continue on like I've had prior, acting like the amount should be good enough. Actually having patient care and compassion. “Dr. Barkman took over Mandy’s practice. I was pleased with her and her work. Dr. Barkman just fit in when Mandy retired. Stephanie stayed on and that made it feel like nothing had changed. Dr. Barkman has allowed Stephanie to use all of her talents. Dr. Barkman has proved to be a very good dentist, worthy of his name. He is kind, gentle in demeanour and his dentistry work. “Absolutely the best dentist and staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with! Dr. Sheldon Barkman and his assistant were both so kind, patient, knowledgeable and made my experiences quick, easy, and painless! I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist, but they laid my fears to rest, and now I've even booked another appointment to go back! I would highly recommend Barkman Dental to anyone. “I am probably the patient that most dentists dread. I have a strong gag reflex and am very uncomfortable in the dentist chair. As a result I hadn't seen a dentist for about about 10 years or so when I started a series of appointments with Dr. Karkan. Dr. Karkan and her assistant were very patient with me and did their best to make my visits as stress free as possible. In fact after a few visits I was almost relaxed during the procedures. Because of my dental neglect I needed extensive remedial work. Dr. Karkan explained my options and costs. It took some complicated procedures on her part but she saved me from needing dentures.
