“Went in for a specific eye issue. The optometrist said there were some concerning issues and that I needed the additional field of vision test and the staff would book that appointment as th machine wasn't set up. They would also request my eye health history. He said he would call me after that test for the final diagnosis..prescribed me some eye drops to help with the discomfort. I spend $1300 on tests and new eyeglasses. The staff never called, I called after 2 weeks and got an appointment for 2 weeks later (a month after initial appointment). I never heard back from the optometrist. I called and left messages. Confirmed with the front staff that he received messages. She also chose to lie to me on the phone. Her story changed 3 times. Never heard back from the optometrist. My Family dr was waiting for the results to organize additional testing. Went back to my regular place (should have just stuck with them as they have been my go to place for 15 years) and after 2 hrs of testing, I walked out with a diagnosis and recommendation for additional imaging through family dr/Neuro. DO NOT GO TO DR.SPECS!!!!!!!! Wasted money going there and got ZERO follow through . Zero help with a serious condition. Nothing but a rip off.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I don't recommend buying glasses from them. The Eye Doctor's there are really good. So I trusted them to look after my eye glass needs. They up sell you on everything and convinced me to get progressive lense glasses even though I really only needed readers. (Prescription for distance was for only one eye, and next to nil) Purchased August. 22. 2024 Waited roughly two weeks for the glasses ( not bad ). I was told I had 3 months to try them out. From day one there were problems. After coming back to them on three separate occasions, they convinced me to keep trying them and my eyes would get used to them. Today Dec.3.2024, I went back to them and was told that it was past the 3 month period and that basically the cost for a remedy would be at my expense, and mine alone. Suddenly they have ideas on things that could be done. Redo eye exam, twerk the design of the lense, etc... none of these were mentioned when I was there the three times within the 3 month warranty. They just told me to trust the process and my eyes would adjust. I feel like they strung me along to wait out the warranty. Which really isn't past warranty if they calculated the time from when I actually received the glasses, instead of calculating it from the day of purchase. Shady way to do business in my opinion. So now I have a pair of 800.00 glasses that are not good for distance or reading. I feel a little ripped off. I don't recommend buying glasses from them.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Dr Hatchard helped me so much. I have scar tissue in my left cornea and was fearing I was dealing with another bad eye infection. He graciously dealt with me as often as I needed to see him to get it resolved and also helped me deal with my extreme dry eye at his clinic in Kelowna. He takes time to explain everything and I have never felt rushed at all. Excellent service from the front staff as well, very friendly. “An all around great experience! I got an appointment quickly. The eye exam was thorough, and the doctor was very informative. I was keenly assisted in finding suiting glasses from their variety of frames. The 2 for 1 deal, and direct billing made it more affordable than I had expected...and my glasses were ready in a week! “Do not get your glasses fixed here! Eye exam was fine but tech bent the nose pieces of my very expensive frames when I needed new lenses. And their selection of frames was plain and cheap looking. I had to go to Calgary where I originally got my glasses to get them fixed!”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I went to put on my favourite sunglasses this morning when I was out walking and realized that one of the "arms" had detached due to the screw being out. I went into Dr. Specs Optical and Debbie was SO helpful to fix these for me. She was patient when working on them and cleaned them up for me. “Thank you for the wonderful care we received from the staff and the Doctor. I brought both my kids in this week. The doctor was great with them, especially my kid with autism. The Dr had alot of patience with him and made him comfortable. The eye exam was a huge success. Thank you again for the great care, friendly service.
