“I have been going to Harbour City Dental Hygiene for three years following the recommendation from a friend. But the real reason was that it is convenient because i live quite close to them. However, I have discovered the benefits of dealing with a smaller business; they treat you like family and I actually enjoy going there. I have seen two hygienists and they were both surprisingly knowledgeable. They will work with your dentist and pass on information. I don't think they are any more expensive than anywhere else and they offer a senior discount. And if you happen to be on the Canadian Dental, as I am, they support that too, and Umyer will help you with this in his calm and patient way. “We were unaware of the current dental insurance restriction of once a year. We were scheduled for our six month cleaning and were shocked to be presented with a very expensive bill. It was then explained that the insurance only covered one cleaning a year. I understand you deal with a number of different insurance companies, however it would have been helpful to have been informed of this restriction when you scheduled us for a six month cleaning. “My family (5 people) has been a customer of Harbor City Dental Hygiene for more than 10 years. Heather Cooper is an outstanding professional in her field. You can count on her precise and honest advice, impeccable service, and the easy, enjoyable atmosphere. Heather Cooper's appointments are my kids' (10, 11, and 15 years old) favorite time. A little insider's note: Heather has excellent artistic taste and a perfect eye for detail. Her office is located in the Old City Quarter in a historical building. As an artist, I love being there and enjoy the well-thought-out eclectic mix of antiquity and modern comfort. For your enjoyment, here are some photos. “The dental hygienists at Harbour City are wonderful! I had all of them at one time or another. They are thorough and efficient but still gentle. I am a nurse and like to understand everything. They explain thoroughly and make good practical suggestions for any gum issues that one might have. Big plus is you don't have book months in advance unless you want to. “I've been going for teeth cleaning for 15 years at Harbour City Hygiene and have referred many friends to Heather and the other hygienists there. What first drew me in was the hygienist only clinic- I didn't know that was an option separate from seeing my dentist. I like the quiet environment and the absence of drills! The service is fantastic, Heather (and the others I've seen there) is very thorough, and refers me to my dentist as needed and works seamlessly with his office to share information when required.
