I was referred to Shaun after mentioning I was dealing with shoulder pain to another gym-goer. I had been experiencing these issues for some time and I was beginning to get frustrated by my inability to progress in the gym. I went to Shaun after dislocating my shoulder and he was pivotal to my recovery. He does an excellent job of listening to what's happening and creating a safe space for treatment. I connected with Shaun as a recommended physiotherapist at Hybrid Rehab. After dealing with a chronic wrist injury for almost two yeas and decreased quality of life being in constant pain and discomfort as a young mom and nurse I am extremely grateful for the care that he implemented into my treatment care plan. Shaun took the time to listen, assess and prioritize a new perspective for the long-standing injury that at that point, I had given up hope for any improvements. Forward to today and I cannot believe that I would be feeling this much better had we not looked into nerve related injuries which furthered into appropriate exercises, treatment and supportive education around proper body mechanics in the many roles I play daily. I first visited Shaun 3 years ago when I suffered a bad lower back injury and couldn't walk without a cane. He worked with me to get a complete understanding of my injury, helped with the recovery process, and developed a great plan for recovery. He had me back playing sports and working out a lot quicker than I thought. A month ago, I thought I suffered the exact injury and went back to see Shaun. The attention to detail about my injury and completed an assessment to determine this one was minor. Shaun provided me with a plan for recovery and treated my injury. He provided detailed exercises in person and also sent me emails explaining the exercises. We also went through the process of prevention. We went over several exercises in the gym to strengthen my core to support my back. In my last session he worked with me on my squat and dead lift form, giving me the right queues for performing those lifts, and gave me the confidence to perform these lifts again, when I was so discouraged thinking I'd be avoiding those exercises in the gym forever. Shaun is very professional and personal when it comes to seeing you for physio. He is very intelligent and is very good at explaining everything to do with your injury and recovery plan.
