“My recent appointment with Dr. Ralph was a disappointing and confusing experience, and unfortunately I would not recommend this clinic anymore. I booked this appointment primarily because I wanted advice regarding a wisdom tooth that occasionally becomes irritated. I even mentioned this during my cleaning appointment, but the hygienist chose not to clean around that area, saying it looked good and didn't need much attention. However, during the examination, the focus shifted almost entirely to recommending 3 fillings on teeth that weren't causing me any symptoms. During my examination, photos of my teeth were taken. Before my filling appointment, I specifically requested that these photos be shared with me so I could review them and think through the recommendation. I was told that the photos would be discussed with the dentist instead, but they were never shared with me before the appointment. At the appointment, I asked twice whether the dark fissure could simply be monitored rather than filled. Each time, I was only told that a filling was "recommended." No other options, such as monitoring or a more conservative approach, were discussed before the filling was done. As a patient, I would have appreciated a clear explanation of all reasonable treatment options so I could make an informed decision. During the procedure, the dental assistant spent a noticeable amount of time chatting with the dentist instead of focusing on patient care, such as assisting with suction and ensuring I was comfortable. This made the experience feel impersonal and uncomfortable. I also received conflicting advice regarding my wisdom teeth. Dr. Ralph mentioned that one wisdom tooth might need to be removed, but as I was leaving, the assistant told me that all four should be removed, without any explanation. Receiving different recommendations from different staff members left me confused and reduced my confidence in the advice I was being given. What made this especially disappointing is that I had previously visited this clinic and had a good experience with another dentist. She was conservative in her recommendations, explained my options clearly, and never made me feel pressured into treatment. That positive experience is the reason I returned, but unfortunately this visit did not reflect the same standard of patient care or communication. “If you have had a miserable experience with your existing dentist, then search no more. I suffered for 10 months while my 'then' dental office kept suggesting nothing was wrong with my tooth and all I needed was cleaning. I stopped chewing on that part of my mouth and the pain persisted. While I stubbornly refused to believe that cleaning was the solution. Till I was guided to Kensington Square Dental Centre and found Dr. Raphael Samaniego just amazing as were all the staff at Kensington Square Dental Centre. This place is super good and despite the distance from Surrey, the drive is totally worth it considering the extremely good care accorded.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I’ve been a patient at Kensington Square Dental Centre for more than six years, and I truly can’t say enough good things about Dr. Jin and the entire team, from reception staff to the hygienists and doctors. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, patient-centred, professional, and genuinely caring. Over the years, I’ve had a variety of procedures done successfully, from fillings to implants and bone grafting, and I’ve consistently felt I was in excellent hands. Dr.Jin and team always take the time to explain procedures, answer questions, and make me feel comfortable and supported. The Hygienists are very proactive in suggesting oral health improvements. I live in Fairview and happily drive to Burnaby because the quality of care and service is absolutely worth it. “Kensington Square Dental has been our family dentists since 2011. We feel like family there and know many of the staff. The hygienist taught me a better way to floss today. The dentists review our oral health year after year and continue to make recommendations on preventative measures. “Warm and Detailed I recently went in for a check-up after being away from my dentist, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience that the one with doctor Ivan Jin. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the doctor is a true people person. He has a way of making you feel completely at ease, which I deeply appreciated after such a long gap between visits. What impressed me most was his honesty and professionalism. He didn't try to push unnecessary procedures or make me feel guilty; instead, he gave me a clear, straightforward assessment of my dental health.
