“Doctor Matter was wonderful when doing my eye exam. He was very thorough. He took the time to address the various questions and concerns that I had with respect to the overall health of my eyes. Also, Julian was very kind and patient with me when I was looking to purchase new prescription glasses. “Excellence! I came in for a checkup about 10 weeks ago, while battling with my eyeglasses of 9 months from my Optometrist in another Country who did great at the time with the prescription, but didn't have much time to follow my progress due to my relocation to Canada. I was afraid that my eyes were the problem since my eyeglasses had served me for a long while, but Maple Ridge Eye Care helped me discover that it wasn't. Dr. Anthony Vuong patiently examined my eyes, cordially answered my many questions, and made me understand why I needed a better prescription. It has been two months (10th of March 2026) since I picked up my new pair of eyeglasses and it has been an amazing 'visual experience' for me. I needed to be doubly sure of this experience before sharing my joy, as well as sending out this gratitude note and stellar review. Thank you so much Dr. Anthony for your practical expertise, thank you John for your amiable welcome and pre-checks at my first visit(27th February 2026), thank you to the lady at the eyeglasses pickup point that Midday who handed it over to me and gently coached me at my inquiry for better lens cleaning, and thank you immensely Maple Ridge Eye Care. “First trip here and they were great! I’m terrible with remembering names, so I apologize for not naming anybody, but I dealt with three people while here. The initial receptionist was an absolute sweetheart and made me feel extremely welcome for my first visit to an optometrist in nearly ten years. She registered me into the system and did a few preliminary tests while the Optometrist finished with her previous patient. Extremely personable and very funny. She explained every test and what its purpose was, which I really appreciated. She was awesome! My optometrist was wonderful as well. She made the whole test feel like a breeze. She asked questions to get a better understanding of my needs, and provided answers to any questions that I had. The eye exam went very quickly and was easy to understand. Finally, the person I spoke with about updating my prescription and my lens replacement was extremely knowledgeable. He asked about my career and made suggestions on the lenses which would work best for the work I do (staring at screens all day). He suggested a blue light filter, and when I explained what I did, he was upfront about how the filter could impact my job performance. I wound up getting one pair with the filter, and one without. I showed up with my old frames, a little worse for wear but still kicking. They commented on how well they still looked and didn’t push me to make any unnecessary purchases of new frames, which I appreciated above all else. It genuinely felt like their goal was to give me as much info about my eyesight as possible while letting my know what my options were without trying to push me to buy things I never asked for. I will absolutely be coming here again for all my future needs. It felt like their goal was giving me the appropriate treatment instead of trying to make as much money off of me as they could, which unfortunately feels like a rarity these days. “I have always had a positive experience coming to Maple Ridge Eye Care. Doctors, technicians, and staff are welcoming and friendly. Dr. Matter is very patient and informative. This clinic has always been very thorough with my exams and I really like the selection of eyewear available to choose from. “By far the best eye care I have ever received! I had Dr. Matter at Maple Ridge Eye Care take care of my eye concerns. He looked in depth into my eye issues, even got my family Doctor to send me for blood testing to make sure nothing too serious was going on. I also met a great specialist along the way who has also been a big help! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Another staff member at Maple Ridge Eye Care named Jeffrey helped me pick out a new pair of glasses, he spent close to an hour with me giving me his honest opinions on how the glasses looked on me and I am truly happy with my choice thanks to his help!
