“I was traveling on holiday with my family, we are from the states. On the trip up I lost a filling. It was a Saturday, no one was open until Monday. I thought my chances of getting a temporary filling put in would be in Nanaimo, so I was there when they opened. I tried 3 different dentists offices, they all could get me right in to look at it, but then I'd need to schedule another appointment to fix it. I'm on holiday, I had only 3 days left before we traveled back. I didn't want to spend two of the three days at the dentist. In the states you go to the dentist and they fix it on the first visit. Discouraged I headed back to where we were staying in Nanoose, I stopped in, explained what I needed. They had me in the exam room in less than 10 minutes, tgey cleaned it checked it out and put in a temporary filling and I was on my way. The whole time couldn't have been more than 20 to 25 minutes. If I lived up here this would be my dentist. The staff was super nice and attentive , the waiting room was clean, tge exam rooms were clean and well taken care of.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I was a client here for approximately 8 years. After bit seeing the dentist for 2 years due to the pandemic I had my teeth cleaned with a separate service. The dental hygienist told me I had cavities forming. I could see them myself. When I finally saw Dr. Holder he said everything looked good. I then had a follow up appointment scheduled for June 2023. The office called to tell me they had to cancel and put me on the short call list. I then received a TEXT message telling me I “better make an appointment because the short call list is filling up quickly”. The next available appointment they could give me was 9 months later. To me this was a blatant disrespectful ploy to drop patients without being straight forward or direct. Now I have a new dentist and have to make several appointments due to the amount of CAVITIES and tooth wear that have formed over the last several years that were obviously completely ignore by this dentist.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I would like to thank Dr. Holder for providing a second opinion for work recommended by another dentist. He was honest and forthright and explained his opinion very well. “This used to be my dentist and I have to say after my experience there I will never be back again. I had a small cavity that required a very simple small filling which this dentist did. After it was done I was in pain and could not bare anything hot or cold. I went back and the dentists solution was to file the tooth down which really upset me as he was filing my actual tooth. He said if it did not subside that I would need a root canal done. Well I did not see how this was possible as I was completely fine before the filling had been done. Needless to say I did not complain about it again as I was not going to have a unneeded root canal. The pain lasted for three months and I could not have anything with ice in it for a year after this I finally got used to it. After this I moved to a new city and got a new dentist. As soon as they saw the just over a year old filling they wanted to take it out. I told them the story of what happened and that I was so worried as it had taken it so long for it to be okay again and that I did not want to go through that again. They explained to me that the dentist at this dentistry had over filled the cavity and that was what was causing me all the problems. They assured me that once they corrected this it would be much better and let me tell you I was back to normal once they fixed this dentists mistake.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“We have received excellent dental care beyond our expectations. We cannot recommend this clinic and its fine staff, highly enough. My wife spent some time as a dental assistant when she was much younger, and she assures me that this clinic is top-notch. The level of care is the highest. The staff are warm and courteous. Dr. Holder is highly-skilled and trained in one of the top medical universities in the U.S. AND.... there have been small emergencies for which we were not even charged. Once our houseguests had a young daughter with orthodonture and a loose tooth. Dr. Holder saw her between patients, tended to her needs and would not charge us. All we could do was thank him. “We went to this dentist for awhile until the front desk assured us that our dentistry was covered and then gave us a bill for over 250.00 clearly the staff made an error and we had an unexpected expense.... we paid it and did not go back.... fast forward a year and our teen daughter is on her second root canal because of Dr. Holders poor workmanship on caps :( she cried today as she knows the discomfort from the last one.... one cap coming loose I can see as an anomaly.. but 2 ? “We moved into the area recently and brought our two children to see Dr. Holder. He was great with the kids. My youngest needed extra work done and she was very comfortable with the procedure. I would recommend visiting his office for dental care.”
