I highly recommend the GLAD program. Dr McPhail is an enthusiastic and encouraging instructor. She educated me to understand the how to strengthen specific muscle groups. Her expectations were adjusted to individual capacities while also encouraging progression. The group atmosphere was cheerful. My ease of movement has improved as recognized in my ability to complete chores and participate in activities that were becoming a challenge. Physio is never easy and it is work! I have had the good fortune to have Physiotherapy at PT Movement in Ballantrae with Valerie Rolf von den Baumen. Her ability to determine an individualized program which ideally suited my injury was extremely important to my overall success. I have been seeing Vinny for Gyrotonic exercises for the past couple months and have been having a wonderful experience! He has been great at explaining complex concepts in a way that is easy to understand and perform. As someone with a 9-5 desk job, I noticed my posture has started to decline over the years. After a couple gyrotonic sessions with the head harness, I’ve already started to notice a difference with my natural posture alignment. As a side benefit, my neck’s been feeling stronger and solid, the movements target muscles in my neck that you can’t hit at the gym. I cannot recommend this physical therapy center highly enough, especially my therapist, Piper! I originally sought treatment for not one, but two separate foot injuries, and Pipher was absolutely fantastic. From our first session, she provided invaluable guidance and laid out a clear, achievable action plan for my rehabilitation. I had specifically asked her to help me formulate a recovery plan focused on progressive movement and load bearing so I could safely and effectively get back to my usual activities. Piper delivered exactly what I needed, creating a comprehensive and goal-oriented program. She asks questions to understand the problem areas, uses her professional training to discuss options and works with her patient to determine best course of action.
