“I have suffered for a very long time with sciatic pain in my right hip and leg. I have found a very good Chiropractor in Edmonton that has helped me a lot by using non invasive treatments, but 4 hours one way to see him was getting a little time consuming so I decided to try massage as a way of keeping myself tolerant of the pain until I could make the time to go to Edmonton. The massage was definitely giving me some relief, but not fixing the problem. Then Karen told me about a course she was taking on visceral manipulation and I was very interested to try it. I wanted to try it for other reasons than my sciatic pain and so booked a treatment with her last week. She explained that I might feel some flu like symptoms afterwards. But after the treatment I was a little tender where she had worked on my liver and my intestines, but no flu like symptoms. What I did notice right away was that nite I slept with little sciatic discomfort. For a week now I have noticed that my sciatic is not hurting and the pain that went down my leg and my knee has totally disappeared. I was even on a 10 hour vehicle trip this week and not once did I have to get out and stretch because of my sciatic. I did not get a visceral manipulation treatment to help with that specific problem, but now I think that my liver was sitting in the wrong position and pinching that nerve, and now that it has been manipulated I have next to no pain.
