“The TL;DR here is Dr Benhaïm's treatment has allowed me to live a full life. She is deeply competent, extremely skilled, and a great communicator. I have osteoarthritis, and when I first came to The Therapeutic Cocoon, I couldn't exercise, run, carry weights--even basic mobility like long walks or sitting in the car for extended periods of time could mean days of pain and recovery afterwards. Dr Benhaïm was not the first chiro I'd seen, but her unique blend of precise treatment, accessible information, and gentle lifestyle recommendations mark her as the best. She excellently treated my acute pain, and accentuated that treatment with clear explanations of what was hurting me, why, and how the treatment would offer relief--all without overwhelming me or burying me under textbook info. This meant that by the time the doctor was ready to start instructing me on stretching and strengthening regimes I could do on a daily basis, I had a baseline understanding of what I was doing, how it related to my underlying issues, and what to look out for in my lifestyle on a day-to-day basis. All of Dr Benhaïm's knowledge, skill, and communication came together to make me stronger and healthier. But the most important part is that the treatment cycle made me less afraid. To take a long bike ride. To go on a hike. To pick up my kid. To live my life. These are things I told Dr Benhaïm that she'd given back to me, things that I'd been missing for years. She wouldn't even accept my gratitude, and just insisted that I'd been the one to do all the work. It's rare to find someone this good at their job and this totally chill about it. “During the Covid-19 lockdown in April 2020, I fell and fractured my left ankle. Specifically, the left fibula close to the talus was fractured badly. It pushed the tibia bone medially and this made the ankle joint completely unstable. I had a plate and screws surgically attached to the fibula in order to be able to walk again. The recovery process was gruelling and took around 4 months of pain killers, crutches and a boot in order to function again. I was functional at a limited capacity at that time. I'm a lifelong athlete and knew this would only be a small bump in the road for me. I was used to being in pain as I suffer with severe spinal stenosis at c3/c4 of my neck for the last 8 years. This condition persists and causes me nerve pain all along the right side of my body. I have tried many therapists in the past to try and fix it but nothing worked...I gave in to my neurologist's MRI diagnosis. I've sort of accepted this disability of sorts since I was 24 years old. I'm 32 now. I never let this right side nerve pain from head to toe stop me. Through willpower and self development I competed in Men's Physique Bodybuilding competition at the Canadian Nationals in 2019. I continuously push through barriers in my sport and professional life. I refuse to be a victim of any injuries and/or health problems in my mind. That being said, it was the ankle fracture that brought me in Dr. Benhaim's office. During my recovery I reached out and Dr. Laura Benhaïm was very responsive to my questions. She looked at my X-rays and provided me actionable advice even before I became a client! Her adjustments were crucial to my recovery following ankle surgery. I was around 30-40% capacity with my movement when I first started chiropractic sessions with her. We'll it's safe to say she has brought me back to 100% in regards to my ankle... Now the main reason I feel compelled to write this review is that Dr. Benhaim is a perfectionist. I also don't want to insult her by calling her a workaholic but she really is. She is OBSESSED with her work. During our initial consultation my right side nerve symptoms became a topic of discussion during assessment. I didn't want to focus on that issue as I have suffered from it throughout my entire 20's. I came to the office for a fractured ankle at the end of day... Around 20 treatments later she has completely fixed my right side. My severe cervical spinal stenosis which has caused me constant nerve pain for 8 years is resolved. I do not have nerve pain. I live my life with that pain in my rearview mirror. I feel fantastic and I never even came for treatment for that in the first place. I had given up on it. Dr. Benhaim is great chiropractor and a true professional. She provides extra value and does her best to help her patients. She always goes the extra mile and knows there is no traffic on the extra mile. Highly recommend her!”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Dr. Laura is the only chiro I've ever trusted — I've been told in the past (by chiropractors) that it's not for me because I'm sensitive to pain. Dr. Laura told me at our first visit that I shouldn't experience any pain, and she was right. She is SO gentle, and so effective. After a hard pregnancy, I suffered from clogged ducts from breastfeeding as well as very bad hip pain — and she alleviated both completely. She has also helped me with back pain, my posture, neck pain and flexibility. Not only is she amazing professional, but she's simply an awesome person and I always look forward to our appointments. “On more than one occasion, I have received excellent treatment from Dre Benhaim. In one instance I sprained an ankle, and could barely walk. After meeting with her over the course of a couple of weeks my ankle improved dramatically, and soon after i was back to my old self. On the other occasion, I hurt my foot while playing badminton, and this time it took just one treatment from Dre Benhaim to fix my injury.
