“I’ve had a great experience with my physiotherapist, Robert. He takes the time to explain exercises clearly and provides effective guidance with genuine support throughout my recovery. Couldn’t ask for better—thank you!”

“I honestly don't even know where to begin. Prior to seeing Rob, I struggled with SUCH bad back pain. After having my first baby, my L5S1 disc bulged. I worked hard to get better, and after having my second child, it happened again - much worse. I tried for a year to get better - I saw numerous physiotherapists (like, a lot). They'd all tell me something different and give me different exercises. They wanted to see me weekly and I just kept getting exercise after exercise. I had acupuncture, massage, chiro, osteo, etc. I tried it all. Finally, my Physiatrist highly recommended I see Rob. Honestly, I was trying to avoid going to him, because his method was in a pool - and I hate public pools. I hate getting my hair wet. I hate being in a bathing suit. SO.. needless to say, I wasn't looking forward to it. WELL.... let's just say, I'm so glad I went. Rob is fantastic. Not just fantastic, but an amazing person inside and out. He cares so much about his clients and their recovery. He doesn't want to see you weekly - he gives you the work to do, and you go do it. He checks in, and helps however he can, although reinforces it's ME who's healing me, not him! I have never had the relief I do now.
I can't recommend him enough. I can't thank him enough in a post. But if you have back pain - go see Rob. period.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I grew up being very active, playing lots of different sports, and generally being a physical person. In 2013, at age 29 I was awkwardly lifting a heavy wood countertop slab while doing a home renovation and herniated a disc in my back. I was out of commission for a few days, then carried on with life (initially not knowing exactly what the injury was). It was a slow decline, with my first visit being to a chiropractor, followed by xrays, and an MRI (which confirmed the disc herniation). Over the 5 year period that followed, I saw nearly 20 different chiropractors, physiotherapists, massage therapists, a family doctor, and specialists. I went to each new doctor / physio with an open mind, hoping that someone would help me find a solution, but found over and over that when I wasn't getting better, there would be no other suggestions or solutions. I struggled to find any type of exercise or sport I could do that wouldn't cause me pain, eventually resulting in choosing to not be active in hopes that I could manage with day to day life. This was in between being told by my family physician on 2 occasions that my back would only get worse as I age, and I should go to a pain clinic. I was then sent to a "specialist" who basically talked for 10 minutes straight about my options and I walked out with a prescription for Gabapentin. My work requires me to sit a lot, and it got to a point where I literally would get home from work to my wife and 3 beautiful kids, and all I wanted to do was lay on my stomach on the floor in the living room. I distinctly remember spending Christmas at my in-law's house in 2017, either standing or laying on the floor the majority of the time. A friend of mine who also had a back injury lent me a book called "The Back Mechanic" written by Dr. Stuart McGill, which I really enjoyed, and gave me some new hope that I wouldn't be crippled by the time I was 40. I saw Robert Nichols for the first time in January 2019, as I continued my search for someone that might be able to help me, and found his overall views on back injuries was similar to Dr. McGill's. I struggle to even describe how much Rob has helped me. From the first visit, and still ongoing, Rob has truly taken ownership of my situation and gone to extreme lengths to not only assess what was going on with my back, but ensure I am on the road to recovery. Whether it is check in type phone calls on weeks where I'm not booked in, or doing extra research on additional exercises or recovery options, Rob is always going the extra mile. With Rob's help, my core strength has drastically improved, and I am able to run for more than 20 minutes at a time, 2-3 times per week. It is hard to put into words how much my quality of life has improved over the past 5 months, and although I am not able to do everything I once could, I know that if I am patient I will get there. Those are words I never thought I would get to say, and although Rob wouldn't take the credit for it, I feel like I owe him so much. Thank you Rob!!”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Robert Nichols is an excellent and very skilled and caring physiotherapist. I believe that he easily Ranks as One of the Best Physiotherapists in Alberta. He pays close attention to all of the patient's/client's Symptoms and he carries out a Detailed and Painstaking evaluation of the Clinical Signs on Examination, and he then lays out a Detailed Plan of Treatment, and he Monitors this Plan on an Ongoing Basis.
I have recommended a lot of Friends and Patients to Top Form Physiotherapy and Wellness.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Robert Nichols is an amazing physiotherapist. I have been to a few physiotherapists and he is definitely miles apart from the others. I wouldn't say the previous physiotherapist were bad. I would say he is exceptional.
I never knew how important it is to have an empathetic physiotherapist until now.
I followed him from another clinic out of my own willingness. His clinic is further away but I would drive across town if he moved. I believe this speaks for itself.
I have improved in leaps and bounds since meeting with him. His patients are his number 1 priority.”Lire la suiteRéduire
