“I spent days trying on glasses in various stores and it wasn't until I came to the Walmart Langford eye centre that I actually felt I was given helpful information in picking out a pair of glasses by Icke. He paid attention to what I told him my needs were and incorporated that into the choices I picked and why they were or weren't best for my needs. I was surprised at his expertise and knowledge there that I hadn't even received in Optometrist's offices. I also was quite surprised at the rudeness that he had to endure while he was taking care of me. He was the only one in the store and did a great job at diffusing a situation that made me nervous. “2 stars for the the front desk staff because they were amazing. The optometrist had horrible bed side manner and was very short with me and my two sons. He made comments to my 14 year old regarding his hair and that he should have gotten a hair cut before comming to his appointment. “Wonderful team! Friendly, helpful, and thorough eye examinations. I've been having a hard time finding the right glasses for my husband and contact lenses for myself, and everyone has been so patient with trying different options until we got it right! The space is clean and employees are diligent with following covid-19 protocol. Doctor from eye to eye optometry is available there for only two days in a week for eye exam but he is very professional. “I had my first eye appointment yesterday. It had been many years since I had been to have my eyes checked due to my own procrastination. I didn't even have a good excuse. Life happens. I spent my year during Covid traveling Guatemala, and had tried to get in somewhere before I left the country - but it was booked months in advance. Now that I was back in Canada, I made an appointment here to get things addressed! My appointment was HORRIBLE. I am an introvert, but due to life experience - I pride myself on my social skills. I have worked as a veterinary nurse for 20 years and have traveled the world. I can handle any social situation - but not this one! The front staff were VERY friendly, and helpful! The optometrist was bad. No social skills, horrible bedside manor. I am not one to complain about ANYTHING, but this was almost laughable. Shamed me for not going to an optometrist in the last 2 years. I remember thinking - what if I had been a single mom? What if I was homeless? What if I had been abused? This is how he treats patients? He didn't know me. I made a point of being silent for the remainder of the appointment. So it was silent. Anyways - treat your patients like they are humans.
