“Was given my bill at the end of a procedure, paid walked out glad it was all over. Recieved a bill in the mail months later for hundreds of dollars -due to "insurance not covering things". At no point was my bill told to me to be an estimate only, at no point was it mentioned that I may need to pay more. No communication, very unprofessional. Take the time to find someplace who actually cares about their patients and understands that hundreds of dollars is not just chump change to their patients. Find someplace that won't send you surprise bills in the mail. Just find someplace else.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Booked cleaning 3 months ago for 21may was informed this week that it was cancelled due to no hygienist. Last cleaning they had brought someone from Kamloops up who was terrible. Been going here for over 10 years and have never received such crappy service. New ownership👎”Lire la suiteRéduire

“If you really enjoy dental work (!), this is as good as it gets. Dr. Wassenaar is internationally recognized for his restorative work and I can attest to four implants and three crowns completed with the the utmost precision. Most of us aren't really fans of having dental appointments, but I (almost) look forward to my visits to "Smiles". Everyone on the staff is professional, friendly and very competent. Every effort is made to accommodate patients who have to travel from rural areas so that appointments can be consolidated to reduce costs. In my 79 years, I've experienced a lot of dental work and a lots of dentists. I can say without qualification that "Smiles" is the best by a significant margin.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“Had an initial appointment here based on the high praise reviews. Was assigned to a different dentist than Dr. Wassenaar. The guy I saw did not give me much confidence. he dropped tools on the floor three times during my initial consult. I had some work needed to be done though so I booked a follow up appointment. Several weeks later on the day of the appointment I was called and requested to come in a half hour earlier than my appointment time. I showed up at the new time and then sat for 45 minutes. One of the receptionists then went back to see what was ongoing in the back. When they came back to the front I was told the appointment before mine was still underway and my appointment likely wouldn't happen that day. Give my concerns about the capacity of the dentist I had been assigned, I then called another dental office in town. They pulled the records from my initial visit to Williams Lake Smiles and I was told that Williams Lake smiles had not taken a complete set of xrays even during my initial visit. All this, coupled with the lack of dental hygienists that means I cannot even book cleaning appointments is dissapointing from such a highly praised and reviewed business. I will say that the receptionists I have interacted with were always pleasant and very professional, something I cannot say for the dentist I was assigned as a new patient.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“My visit at SMILES was up lifting and helpful. I felt affirmed after the struggle with pain. To hear Dr. Wassenaar say that things looked good in regards to my mouth and teeth especially the troublesome one with the pin in it was reassuring. The bow on the gift was the low charge I had to pay, of $19.70, the surprise of the afternoon and I left light-hearted and rejoicing with a a big Smile on my face. “Always and i mean always a good experience. I may have let a few tears out but thats my mad anxiety but the staff if very friendly, caring to patients needs and wants. Was provided with a neck pillow for a old injury still giving me problems. Quick thorough exam and both dr and the lady were good with explaining as well as asking for my concerns. made the appointments same day. Cant wait to be back to get everything done.
