About Ai-Chia
Amily Wu, is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner whose journey into TCM began with a profound personal connection to her family’s health struggles, particularly with cardiovascular disease. Inspired by her father’s healing journey through acupuncture and traditional herbal remedies following a hemorrhagic stroke, Amily’s practice integrates ancient wisdom with complementary therapies. In high school, she began exploring alternative medicine, food therapy, mindfulness practice, yoga and breathwork to help regulate the nervous system, release tension, and deepen the mind-body connection. Anything that could help mitigate the hereditary risk factors. Working with the body has really helped her in learning how to navigate those inevitable ebbs and flows with tremendous compassion.
Currently, her practice is focused on pain management, mental health, hormonal conditions, PMS, PCOS, perimenopause & menopause health, sleep, anxiety & depression, metabolic syndrome, and nutritional deficiencies. She is happy to work outside these areas to support anyone who has felt unheard or unsupported in dealing with their health concerns. In recent years, a key influence is Dr. Gabor Maté, known for his work on trauma, addiction, childhood development, and the connection between emotional stress and illness. Dr. Maté believes that while we are not responsible for the environment or events that created our wounds, we are responsible for our own healing process.
