À propos de Alanna
Dans ses motsTrauma-informed massage.
Alanna's motto: "Compassionate and effective treatment for renewal, health and connection" truly describes her practice. She excels at connecting with people and helping them experience restored health and real relaxation. She treats slowly and responsively, adjusting pressure and pace to suit the nervous system response. Her practice is focused on meeting clients where they are without judgment. Alanna has a strong emphasis on consent and any age, pregnant people, any gender, any body type, and anyone who has had a negative experience with massage before. She does everything she can to make her clients feel comfortable.
Alanna specializes in using massage to help clients manage stress, headaches, jaw dysfunction, inflammatory conditions, chronic pain, and mental health conditions. PTSD/CPTSD clients are requested to contact Alanna first to ensure massage is a good fit for the stage of present recovery.
Alanna has a thorough understanding of movement, injury and healing from her Kinesiology degree and Wilderness First Aid background, as well as her massage practice. She enjoys working with people looking to stay active and move more freely and with less pain! Alanna is results focused, and will make suggestions for mobility and strength to help clients find lasting relief from chronic and recent injury.
Alanna believes massage allows us all to connect with ourselves, stay active, and find some moments of peace. She uses a blend of slow-paced relaxation techniques mixed in with therapeutic work, vagus nerve stimulation, stretching/muscle activation, myofascial work and massage cupping to help her clients build a strong mind-body connection and get long lasting symptom relief.
Alanna is a graduate of Vicars School of Massage Therapy (2200 hrs diploma), the University of Calgary (BKin) and is an Advanced Wilderness First Aid instructor.
