À propos de Alison
Dans ses motsAfter years of co-treating with many practitioners at Vancouver Island Physiotherapy, Alison is excited to join the team as their TCM Acupuncturist and Laser Therapist!
During her 10 successful years of teaching yoga and Pilates at her Studio, Alison became more and more curious about pain and how it manifests in the body. She added Laser to her repertoire 2018 and in 2022 Alison graduated from the Pacific Rim College and is now a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncturist.
As a Laser Therapist, Alison works with each client and the referring practitioner to create a plan of action around your pain. She brings both compassion and joy to her practice and she loves to treat a wide variety of concerns including sports injuries, arthritis, post-oncology issues, concussions and so much more. Her ultimate goal is to help her clients effectively manage their pain and get back to doing what they love the most!
As a TCM Acupuncturist, Alison has the ability to help clients with a wide variety of health concerns, managing internal medicine and physical conditions ranging from emotional well-being and resiliency to digestion and respiratory/post-viral issues. She is particularly passionate about Women’s Health - menstrual attunement, cycle regulation, peri/menopause, and fertility. She believes that TCM can help women manage many conditions they are told are “normal” in a safe and natural way that has been used for thousands of years. If you crave an additional self-care treatment, come experience one of Alison’s coveted Accusculpt Facials. They are the perfect mix of both addressing your general health concerns and leaving your skin glowing and refreshed!
When not in the clinic, you can find Alison out for long walks with her family and pup, working out in her garden, or elbows deep in every manor of novel, manual or clinical study.

Cupping - TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)
« Cupping is a traditional technique that uses glass cups and the heat of real fire to disperse and break up stagnation and congestion. Cupping can give immediate pain relief, for tight muscles, holding patterns, it can enhance blood circulation and support your immune system. It is even effective for getting rid of colds and viruses. In some cases suction cups will be used in place of glass should the benefit be greater. »TCM Acupuncture assessmentNew patient
