About Alison
Alison is a Registered Social Worker. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in the area of Social Work from the University of Windsor and her Child and Youth Care degree from St. Clair College, Windsor Campus. Throughout her education she has completed 5 different field placements, learning in the field from other professionals in a variety of agencies across Windsor Essex. Through these experiences she was inspired to continue working with children, youth and their families through a strengths-based perspective. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their goals.
Alison has been working in the field since 2021 and is passionate about supporting children, youth, and families. She began her career as a Residential Youth Counsellor, where she gained experience working with young people facing a variety of emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.
Drawing on her education and experience, Alison takes a person-centred approach that recognizes the unique strengths and needs of each individual. She believes that meaningful relationships, compassion, and collaboration are key components of the therapeutic process. In her free time, Alison enjoys spending time with family and friends.
