As a young child I yearned to understand how other people's experiences influenced the way in which they navigate, or felt trapped, in their world. I continue to have this wonderment both inside and outside of the counselling space but now have the tools to help explore these blocks and barriers on a deeper level with clients.
As we begin to better understand the origins of our thoughts and emotions, we can begin to bring balance to our lives. This is why I approach therapy with a trauma informed lens to provide psychoeducation, mindfulness and other therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to bring about an inner awareness that leads to change.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (# 20693) with the BCACC and received my Masters degree in Clinical Counselling at Adler University located in Vancouver, BC.
