About Alyson
Hi, I’m Alyson (she/her), a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Registered Social Worker (RSW). I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and have experience supporting children, youth, and adults across both hospital and community settings.
I know that reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, especially if you’re used to being the one who holds everything together. My goal is to offer a space that feels genuine, relaxed, and comfortable enough for you to show up as you are.
My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s going on and find ways forward that feel realistic in your day-to-day life. My work is grounded in a client-centred, strengths-based approach, and I draw from therapies like CBT, ACT, and EMDR depending on what fits best for you.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with my dog, Honey, typically near the ocean or out on a walk. Getting outside, slowing things down, and feeling connected are things I value in my own life, and I often bring them into the work I do with clients as well.
If you’re thinking about starting therapy, I’d be happy to connect and see if it feels like a good fit for you.
