As a Massage Therapy instructor and a practicing RMT since 2005, she strives to educate herself and others. Amanda is passionate about creating a customized treatment, effective for each individuals needs.

« Massage therapists learn to write notes in a school or clinical setting. It is a requirement of our industry. This course is an opportunity to brush up your current skills. This course is available for any practising RMT that feels their note taking and documentation skills could be better. We will branch out and discuss beyond the SOAP protocol and discuss why certain types of information are important to have included on a client file.
Practicing massage therapists will gain the opportunity to review, evaluate and revise their current note taking and documentation practises. We will discuss good and bad habits that can develop over a long career. RMT’S will review standard SOAP note protocol, privacy standards and best billing practises for the industry. We will also touch on direct billing professionalism and documentation. Students will be able to review Canada/Alberta privacy standards and the similarities and differences between the Alberta associations compared to regulated provinces. Therapists will gain a thorough understanding of how to properly document and store personal client information and how to optimize their documentation skills. We will also review how to handle a situation that may be fraudulent. Leaving each attendee with a fresh and focused outlook on how they and their clinic stands in regards to proper documentation skills and the importance of good notes for them selves, clients and other healthcare professionals.
