About Amy
Please note that Amy sees clients ages four years old and above.
Areas of interest include: Children 4+, play therapy, relationship issues, anxiety and stress management, communication and conflict resolution, emotional regulation, grief and loss, health and medical issues including diabetes (Type 1, 2 and gestational), life transitions (including divorce and separation), and personal development and growth. Amy also provides couples counselling.
About Amy: Amy is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, is a member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta, and has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
Amy’s counselling approach is client-centred, attachment-based, and trauma-informed. In her work with clients of all ages she draws on strategies from numerous therapeutic approaches to help her clients reach their goals, find meaning and purpose in their circumstances, connect to their inner strength and wisdom, and achieve overall wellness.
Amy works with adults, couples, and children ages 4 and up. Amy has experience working with addictions, ADHD, depression, anxiety and stress management, communication and conflict resolution, emotional regulation, grief and loss, health and medical issues, life transitions (including divorce and separation), OCD, parenting, personal development and growth, PTSD and trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem and self-compassion.
Amy believes in the strength of a strong therapeutic relationship and brings empathy, authenticity, positivity, and a non-judgmental acceptance to her relationship with clients.
