« Thank you for considering therapy for your child.
As part of our intake process, therapists often begin with a parent-only session. This initial appointment is for parents to meet with the therapist without the child present to discuss the child’s needs, history, and goals for therapy. It provides an important opportunity to share background information, gain insight into your child’s emotional and psychological well-being, and collaborate on how best to support them both in and outside of sessions.
Please let us know about any parental custody or decision-making arrangements prior to booking, so we can ensure all legal and ethical considerations are met.
If you have any questions or would like more information before scheduling, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re here to help. »2 optionsYouth Intake SessionNew patient
« Thank you for considering therapy for your child. As part of our intake process, the initial session is primarily for the youth. Parents or caregivers attend a portion of this first appointment to share relevant background information, discuss concerns, and help establish goals for therapy, after which the therapist will meet individually with the child. This approach allows the therapist to better understand the child’s needs while also creating a space where the youth can begin building rapport and expressing themselves independently. Please inform us of any custody or decision-making arrangements prior to scheduling so that all legal and ethical requirements are met. If you have any questions or would like additional information before booking, please feel free to reach out — we’re happy to assist. »2 optionsWellness Workshops & ConsultationNew patient
