Andrei Ouspenski
À propos de Andrei
Dans ses motsI’m a Counsellor and Registered Social Worker (#10606) with Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees — and I also bring the perspective of lived experience as a neurodivergent person. My personal development and my approach to therapy is always growing as I continue to learn (and unlearn).
I believe healing is holistic — it touches our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health, as well as our relationships with ourselves, others, and the world around us. It can include plant and food based healing. Clients often describe me as compassionate, down-to-earth, and non-judgmental. I draw on a variety of approaches, like talk therapy (narrative, CBT, DBT, solution-focused), and mindfulness. I believe in anti-oppressive, trauma informed, strengths based and decolonial practices. I bring specialized training in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy, and I am currently pursuing certification in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy as an emerging tool for healing.
Most importantly, I focus on our connection first. Therapy works best when it’s a safe and supportive relationship, so that’s where I start.
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll usually find me surrounded by innumerable plants, my partner, our kids, and our crew of pets — living with gratitude as a guest on Secwépemc lands.
