Balroop achieved her Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, New Brunswick. The initiation of her career began to advocate the importance of mental health within all age groups. Balroop has worked with children and adults by assisting them in overcoming their emotional and cognitive challenges. While working with children in a school setting, she achieved her Child and Youth Care certification from Sheridan College, Ontario.
Balroop has an integrative approach; therefore, her methodologies are derived from multiple frameworks, such as Internal family systems, Cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT- dialectical approach, ACT- Acceptance and commitment approach, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and motivational interviews. She acknowledges the importance of self-confidence and encourages a collaborative perspective to proceed towards goal achievement. Balroop intends to provide a safe, judgement-free, empathetic, and trustworthy environment that enhances therapeutic relationships and results in growth through an insightful journey.
