Hello! My name is Beatrice Valmana-Crocker and I am a Registered Psychologist, regulated by the College of Alberta Psychologists. I was born and raised in England and immigrated to Canada in 2012. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and a Master’s degree in Counselling from City University of Seattle.
I am an evidence-based practitioner who has experience working with children, adolescents,
adults, couples, and families. I am passionate about normalizing mental health struggles, as well as empowering others to recognize and build their resilience to create transformational change. As such, my approach to therapy is client-centred, collaborative, and strength-based. I also utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach, honouring each individuals unique life journey and experiences.
I primarily work from a developmental, attachment, and trauma-informed lens and draw upon cognitive behavioural, emotion-focused, and mindfulness-based therapies.
I strive to connect with my clients, develop a supportive and understanding relationship, and
create an environment of safety, empathy, compassion, patience, and acceptance. Together we
can work to explore and process your struggles, develop effective coping strategies that foster wellness, peace, and growth, and guide you towards a fulfilling and purpose-driven life.
