About Camryn
Camryn Rafuse- Provisional Occupational Therapist
Camryn is a Provisional Occupational Therapist who supports children, adults, neurodivergent individuals, and families with the everyday activities, routines, and skills that are important to them.
She has a particular interest in sensory processing and regulation, emotional regulation, executive functioning, fine and gross motor development, activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care, independence, and play skills. She also has additional training in trauma-informed paediatric practice.
Camryn believes Occupational Therapy is not about changing who someone is. Instead, she works to understand each person’s strengths, needs, environment, and goals and to identify strategies that can help them feel more regulated, confident, and successful in everyday life.
Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and family-centred. Camryn values building genuine, trusting relationships and wants clients and families to feel heard and supported throughout the therapy process. She works alongside clients and caregivers to develop practical strategies that fit naturally into routines at home, school, work, and in the community.
Whether someone is working toward greater independence, developing new skills, navigating sensory or regulation needs, or finding ways to make everyday activities more manageable, Camryn’s goal is to help them participate more fully in the activities that are meaningful to them.
Outside of work, Camryn enjoys travelling, trying new recipes, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
Camryn provides in-person services at Allied Therapy’s Bedford clinic, community-based support in the Halifax area, and virtual Occupational Therapy services across Nova Scotia.
