Candace is a compassionate and approachable Registered Psychotherapist dedicated to working with both youth and adults in a safe and supportive environment. Candace uses a client-centered approach to work collaboratively with her clients to develop individualized treatment plans for each client’s unique needs and goals.
Candace has assisted individuals navigating through varying concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, day-to-day struggles, life transitions, stress, early childhood trauma, PTSD, and grief.
In her practice, Candace uses a diverse range of Psychotherapeutic modalities. Her approach integrates Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Interpersonal Therapy, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Sandplay Therapy. This eclectic methodology allows her to tailor strategies and techniques to the specific needs of each client, creating a supportive environment for growth and empowerment.
Education: Candace holds a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology, and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). She has a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Psychology from Guelph University and a General Arts and Science Diploma from Humber College. Candace is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
