Sometimes reaching out for support can feel uncomfortable—like maybe you should be able to handle things on your own, or like asking for help means something is wrong with you. Those thoughts can be heavy and isolating, especially when you’re already doing your best just to get through the day. If you’ve ever felt unsure about where to begin or whether you’ll be understood, you’re not alone. I offer a calm, welcoming space where you don’t have to edit yourself or have all the answers. My approach is person-centred and neuroaffirming, which means we move at your pace, and therapy is shaped around who you are and what matters to you. This is a space where your story matters, and where you get to show up just as you are.
I am a Registered Social Worker and graduated with my HBSW and MSW from Lakehead University. I also have a College Diploma in Addiction and Mental Health Worker from Centennial College with a certification in First Peoples of Canada. I’ve had the privilege of supporting children, youth, and families with a wide range of developmental and learning differences, including FASD, autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities. On top of this, I work in crisis, and through this work I have been given the opportunity to connect with individuals experiencing mental health crises, gaining knowledge on various mental health diagnoses and those experiencing suicidal ideation. Populations I work with include children, teens, and adults. With specialization in ADHD, autism, intellectual disabilities, self-harm, and suicidal ideation.
I conduct my work through a relational, client-centred lens, drawing on DBT, mindfulness, strengths-based approaches, and neuro-affirming care. Together, we can work on self-exploration, challenging complexity, and fostering growth. I invite you to come as you are with anxieties, fears, doubts and hope - what matters is that you have shown up, and we can take it from there. I bring an open mind, a calm presence, and a willingness to adapt to meet client needs. I welcome the opportunity to connect so we can learn more about you and what it would mean for you to begin therapy.
