I believe that nurturing your mental wellness is essential for achieving your best self and feeling confident in life. Let’s embark on this journey together, starting right where you are, and discover what you need to break free from any obstacles, alleviate overwhelm, and guide you towards feeling centred, content, and self-assured.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals who may be grappling with emotional or interpersonal challenges, confronting tough decisions, seeking to initiate change, or simply needing support and guidance during difficult times. Since 2006, I’ve been engaged in psychotherapy practice, gaining experience across a variety of settings, including corporate, community agencies, and private practice. Drawing from this wealth of experience and expertise, I am here to help you navigate through these challenging moments in your life with compassion and understanding.
My approach is rooted in warmth, empathy, and acceptance, aiming to empower you to tap into your personal strengths and resources. Together, we’ll explore new skills and perspectives that promote your overall health and wellbeing, fostering a sense of balance and confidence in navigating life’s ups and downs.
I view therapy as a collaborative journey, inviting you to play an active role in your own growth and healing process. Tailoring my approach to your unique needs, concerns, and goals, I integrate various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural, emotion-focused, somatically oriented, solution-focused, and Mindfulness therapies. Additionally, my training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) offers a transformative tool for resolving traumatic experiences and overcoming limiting self-beliefs, paving the way for a more fulfilling life.
During our sessions, you’ll have a safe and supportive space to delve into your thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns, as we collaboratively chart a path towards healing and personal growth.
My areas of expertise encompass a range of issues and concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship dynamics, life transitions, grief, career challenges, and self-worth.
In terms of credentials, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #2707) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC #0091) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I find joy in staying active, playing tennis, cherishing moments with loved ones, and immersing myself in the pages of a captivating book.
