I'm currently a second year massage therapy student from Evolve College of Massage Therapy, who comes from an Allied Health background with a decade of experience as a Certified Rehabilitation Assistant in the IERHA, working with those experiencing orthopedic and neurological events. I had the privilege of working within a interdisciplinary team implementing therapies from Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology, working towards goals of remodeling/rebuilding the neuromuscular connection-whether that be in the sense of physical movement or with cognitive changes. I loved creating professional interpersonal relationships with my patients and working with each individual to determine what their personal health goals were for themselves and what they hoped to achieve within their rehabilitation and their new or restored levels of ability. I am excited to continue to work with people within this new scop of practice in massage therapy. Whether that goal is to encourage relaxation or improve function, mobility, and strength; I hope to use my skillset to support each persons goals. After graduating I hope to continue to provide service to the communities in the Eastman area.
