About Chloé
From a young age, I’ve felt a deep pull toward easing the emotional pain of others and understanding what shapes us as humans. That early curiosity and compassion eventually guided me into the field of counselling, where I’ve found meaningful and fulfilling work supporting individuals through some of the most tender and transformative moments of their lives.
In addition to my professional training, becoming a parent has profoundly shaped the way I show up as a counsellor. My own experiences navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the ongoing journey of parenthood deepen my understanding of the complexities, challenges, and growth that can accompany this stage of life. These experiences inform my practice every day and strengthen my commitment to providing compassionate, authentic, and meaningful support to the individuals and families I work with.
I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space where growth can occur. I honour your emotional experiences and help you identify patterns, beliefs, and life experiences that may be keeping you feeling stuck. Together, we will build self-awareness, deepen your understanding of yourself, and create a therapeutic relationship centered on your well-being, strengths, and unique story.
My approach to counselling is rooted in humanistic and existential therapy principles and is guided by a trauma-informed, socially just, and culturally responsive lens. I believe each person carries a unique narrative shaped by their experiences, relationships, and identities. With curiosity, empathy, and respect for your pace, I will support you in exploring how your past, emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviours influence your current struggles while helping you move toward greater clarity, meaning, connection, and authenticity.
I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and have completed EMDRIA-approved EMDR training. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences, distressing memories, anxiety, and other challenges that may feel difficult to move through using talk therapy alone. I integrate EMDR thoughtfully and collaboratively, ensuring the process feels safe and tailored to your individual needs.
My work is grounded in specialized training, including the Canadian Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health (CC-PMH), EMDRIA-approved EMDR training, DBT Essentials (Levels 1 & 2), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), safeTALK Suicide Prevention Certificate, BrainStory Brain Development Certification, Indigenous Canada, and the Socially Responsible Practitioner Program.
These trainings, alongside my lived experience as a parent, help me provide warm, informed, and compassionate support to individuals navigating life's challenges, transitions, and opportunities for growth. Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, perinatal concerns, life transitions, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and growth.
