« This specialized treatment offers a synergistic approach to wellness, combining the gentle, nervous-system-focused work of Cranial-Sacral Therapy (CST) with the targeted physiological benefits of Acupuncture. By blending these two modalities, we can address pain and dysfunction from both a structural and neurological perspective.
As a Registered Massage Therapist, I utilize Acupuncture as an adjunct therapy to help modulate the nervous system, reduce local inflammation, and alleviate muscular tension. When paired with the subtle fascial releases of CST, this treatment facilitates a deep state of relaxation and encourages the body’s innate ability to heal.
What to Expect
This 60-minute session is quiet, restorative, and focuses on the entire body. Unlike a traditional Swedish massage, this treatment does not use oils or lotions.
The session typically begins with you lying face down to address the spine and posterior landmarks, finishing face up. I begin by "listening" to the body's inherent health mechanisms through light touch, often starting at the feet to tune into your system's rhythm. Acupuncture needles are then integrated into the session at specific neuro-functional points to help release deep-seated tension and "reset" overactive pain pathways.
