Dans ses motsDr. Chris (as we like to call him) is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine (D.TCM) with extensive knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and Herbology.
He has now taken over Evergreen Wellness and wants to continue his Dad's (Dr. Peter Yam, ND) legacy in ensuring that patients get the best possible care.
He has been with us for 23 years and performs our non-invasive testing, Acupuncture, Laser Therapy and various other treatments.

« Laser is a form of light energy - Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
This non-invasive method of acupuncture (absolutely no needles are used), performed by Dr. Chris Yam, D.TCM, uses this low power laser (stimulates tissue repair – ‘photo bio-stimulation’), which is too weak to damage cells and has no side effects.
The mechanism of action is believed to be the absorption of infrared energy by cellular tissues, which stimulates a biological response of releasing healing enzymes within those cellular tissues.

« Traditional Acupuncture involves the insertion and manipulation of very fine sterile stainless-steel needles on to the meridian points on the body.
It is usually painless; you can expect to feel an all over pleasant sensation and you may also feel a deep ache or “Qi sensation” at the site of the needling.

“Just did a food allergy test and had such a cool experience! Dr. Yam is so knowledgeable and was willing to explain a lot of the test and results to me. “After 8-10 years of every possible physical therapy, anti-inflammatory and painkiller (including opiates and barbituates) I was at my wit's end.
