About Cliann
Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship challenges, or difficult life transitions on your own. Therapy offers a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin making sense of your experiences in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
Cliann Dsouza is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who is passionate about helping adults and young adults build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and create meaningful, lasting change. She believes every person's story is unique and works collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals, strengths, and values.
Cliann holds a Master of Arts in Psychology and has experience supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She also has experience working with older adults living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Through a person-centred and compassionate approach, she incorporates engaging cognitive stimulation activities tailored to each individual's interests and abilities. These may include art, music, games, reminiscence activities, problem-solving exercises, gentle movement, or simply enjoying a walk outdoors—recognizing that meaningful engagement looks different for everyone. Her goal is to help promote cognitive functioning, emotional well-being, social connection, and an enhanced quality of life.
Her clinical work is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based care. She integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-based interventions. Cliann tailors each session to meet the unique needs of every client, recognizing that healing is not a one-size-fits-all journey.
Clients often describe Cliann as warm, approachable, compassionate, and easy to talk to. She strives to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration, where clients feel empowered to explore challenges, develop practical coping skills, and move toward a more fulfilling life.
Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, navigating a major life transition, or looking for compassionate support for yourself or a loved one living with dementia, Cliann is committed to walking alongside you with empathy, evidence-based guidance, and genuine care as you work toward your personal goals.
