Curtis graduated with a Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia in 2003 and has been working at Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic since that time. He became a partner in 2015.
Curtis completed the Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMT) in 2009. Curtis also became certified to practice acupuncture through Acupuncture Canada in 2005, and Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) in 2015.
Curtis is a Past President of the Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC), as well as having past experience on the PABC Board of Directors, PABC Business Affairs Council and Acupuncture Canada Council. Business Affairs Council and Acupuncture Canada Council.
Curtis has experience as an Instructor with UBC Physiotherapy Department. He has also served as a Team Physiotherapist for UBC Thunderbirds Hockey.
Curtis specializes in treating acute and complex spinal pain including the low back, mid back, and neck. He also has extensive experience treating lower leg injuries involving the knee, ankle, and foot. Curtis utilizes manual therapy and dry needling to restore joint mobility and tissue health. He utilizes exercise therapy to restore proper movement and prevent re-injury.
Outside of the office Curtis enjoys his family time with wife, Jen, and their kids. He enjoys playing hockey, golfing, hiking, swimming, and cycling.
