Dakota is currently a Master of Counselling intern, completing her practicum with IPS. Dakota's fervor lies in teaming up with clients to embolden them as they progress on their path of healing and growth. Dakota's trauma-informed work focuses on client goals, utilizing an integrative approach that includes narrative, Somatic-Attachment, Polyvagal Theory, solution-focused, and mindfulness techniques.
Certification and training: Masters of Counselling Psychology in progress, Somatic-Attachment in progress, Indigenous Awareness Training in progress, Medicine Wheel Awareness Training in progress, SPRAM and ASIST Suicide Prevention Training in progress, Conflict Resolution in Communication, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Family Group Conferencing (FGC).
