David was born and raised in North Vancouver and completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Classical Studies at the University of British Columbia. While volunteering with Special Olympics Canada as a swimming instructor David discovered a passion for working with differently abled children and teenagers. This led him to pursue training in paediatrics when he returned to UBC to complete a Masters of Physical Therapy.
During his time at UBC, David completed a placement at Kid’s Physio Group and immediately felt an affinity with their evidence-based approach focused on active therapy and making physio enjoyable. As the proud father of an ostentatious baby girl, David is confident in treating babies as well as children and teenagers.
David grew up playing a variety of contact sports such as hockey, rugby, and football and has a keen interest in treating sports injuries. In his free time, David can be found chasing his daughter around the house, running, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, rock climbing or bouldering. He and his wife also enjoy board games and good food.
