Prior to becoming a massage therapist, David earned a degree in kinesiology from the esteemed University of Waterloo. He has been a massage therapist since 1994 having worked in multiple clinics until finally opening Keystone Massage Therapy Center in 2011 with his business partner and wife, Mary Sharland-Presta. David describes his treatment style as technical, intuitive and methodical drawing on his academic experience and 30 years of massage practice. His goal in treatments is to seek out areas of imbalance, usually in the way of tension and to discover patterns that may have developed due to poor movements, repetitive movements, injury and stress. To that end David also tries to recommend movements to help counter these patterns…so don’t be surprised if you get a little homework! David’s interests are his family, nutrition and exercise….but a description of David would only be complete by mentioning his great love for the sport of soccer. He played at elite levels and continues his passion by coaching, both kids at the grass roots and senior players.
