Dans ses motsDiane Ouimet joined the StFX Athletic Therapy staff in August 2017. A native of Ottawa, has been practicing Athletic Therapy since 2007. Before arriving at StFX, Diane worked for nine seasons in the QMJHL (three years with the Shawinigan Cataractes and then 6 with the Halifax Mooseheads). A highlight of her major junior career was a Memorial Cup win in 2013 with the Mooseheads. Diane has also been involved with Hockey Canada’s Women's National Team Program since 2013. She has worked as an athletic therapist with both the Development and Senior Women's programs, most recently representing Canada at the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championships in Brampton, Ontario, where Canada won silver.
While working in hockey, Diane also expanded her manual therapy training, completing her education to become a Registered Massage Therapist. She has extensive clinical experience in the domain, having worked as an RMT part-time in a Halifax-area sports clinic while working with the Mooseheads and continuing to see private clients since re-locating to Antigonish. A graduate of Concordia University, she was a former varsity soccer athlete. She also recently earned her X-ring by graduating from StFX's Masters of Education program in 2021.

Triage Appointment
« For student-athletes who have hurt themselves over the weekend and need to be assessed. This is only if you feel like you could not practice or play fully with the injury you have sustained. This is not a treatment. It is an opportunity for a certified AT to assess your injury and advise of next steps (ie book you in for therapy for the coming week, book you in with a Sports Med Physician, give advice on how to manage your injury until your next therapy appointment, update coaches, etc.). »Exercise Rehab (in Varsity Gym)
« Work on your rehab exercises with a Certified Athletic Therapist.
