À propos de Amanda
Dans ses motsDr. Amanda Sim graduated from University of Waterloo School of Optometry with Honours. She currently practices full scope optometry with a strong interest in vision therapy, neuro-optometric therapy and rehabilitation. She completed an internship at Uxbridge Optometry and worked as a vision therapist at Vaughan Vision Therapy and Elite Vision Therapy. She has also served as an examiner for the Optometry Examining Board of Canada (OEBC).
She interned at Houston Eye Associates, one of the largest ophthalmology clinics in the United States in the field of pre-operative and post-operative care for laser eye and cataract surgery.
While at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Sim was awarded the des Grosseillers Humanitarian Award, the highest honor given to a University of Waterloo optometry student who exemplifies commitment to community and helping others. She has had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Kenya and four mission trips to Honduras to provide charitable eye care.
She and her husband sponsor two children through Compassion Canada and have supported Matthew House Toronto, which helps to welcome, assist and resettle arriving refugees.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, volunteering, and leading a connect group on how to be your best self in the workplace.
