About Brittany
Dr. Brittany Schamerhorn is a Naturopathic Doctor and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and the founder of Ivy Health Clinic. She is passionate about supporting women through every phase of hormonal change—from PMS to perimenopause and beyond—helping them go from tired, stressed, and overwhelmed to feeling energized, resilient, and in control of their health.
Her clinical focus spans the full spectrum of women’s health, including PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. With a compassionate and evidence-informed approach, Dr. Schamerhorn helps women who have previously felt dismissed or confused find clarity and confidence in their healthcare again.
During your visit, you can expect a thorough review of your health story, a focused physical exam, and relevant lab testing (if needed). Your personalized treatment plan may include pharmaceutical options, herbal medicine, acupuncture, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, or targeted supplementation—always tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Dr. Schamerhorn earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Boucher Institute (now CCNM–Boucher), where she was awarded the Clinical Excellence Award. She is a member of The Menopause Society and a respected educator, having previously taught at the naturopathic medical school in Vancouver and continuing to lecture to both healthcare professionals and the public. She has pursued extensive additional training in hormone therapy, women’s health, and lactation support.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Schamerhorn can often be found outdoors with her young family—coffee in hand and too many books on the go. Having grown up in Kelowna, she is proud to support the health and vitality of her community through integrative, patient-centered care.
