CHIROPRACTOR/CLINIC DIRECTOR
Dr. Chris Taylor graduated Summa Cum Laude from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2007 after obtaining his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2003. During his time at McMaster Chris was a full-time student athlete, competing for the Varsity Men’s Marauders Baseball team during each of his 4 undergraduate years. He is an active member in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.
Upon graduating from CMCC, Chris began his professional career in South Australia where he worked in a number of small rural communities providing Chiropractic care. After spending a year working in Australia, Chris returned to Toronto during the summer of 2008 to establish a practice here in Canada. In early 2009, Chris began working at the clinic (formerly Wellington Chiropractic and Massage Therapy Clinic) under then-owner Dr. Blair Lewis. In late 2014, Chris completed the purchase of the clinic, introduced several other disciplines – including Physiotherapy – and rebranded as Wellington Healthcare.
Over his career, Chris has continued to expand his professional capabilities by completing courses in Contemporary Medical Acupucture (McMaster University School of Medicine), Functional Neurodynamics (Prof. Michael Shacklock), Temporomandibular Joint Dysfuntion management and treatment, Functional Range Release (FRR/FRS), Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Trigenics Functional Neurology, as well as numerous other continuing education endeavours. He was also the ‘in-house’ Chiropractor and manual therapist for the Canadian Stage Company for several years, treating many dancers, actors and performers.
Outside of professional practice Chris is an avid sports fan, recreational golfer and runner. He and his wife have completed the Around the Bay 30km in Hamilton 5 times and is a 4-time team winner of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) Backswing Charity Golf Tournament. He has also been involved with the Toronto Blue Jays’ Charity, Jays Care Foundation, for several years. When not at the clinic, Chris loves spending time with his wife and identical twin daughters, taking weekends at the family cottage and staying physically active.
