Dr. Emily has a diverse background in sports, including gymnastics, track & field, cross country,
and rowing, which sparked her passion for human movement and biomechanics. In her
personal time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain climbing, further fueling her
enthusiasm for an active lifestyle. Dr. Emily is dedicated to connecting with her patients,
focusing on identifying the root causes of their injuries and daily aches and pains. She has a
particular passion for women’s health, including pregnancy, pre- and postpartum care, and
pediatric health.
Dr. Emily holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley, followed by a
Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from the University of
Western States. Her clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive history and physical exams,
movement screenings, and assessments, with a strong emphasis on multimodal chiropractic
care. She is proficient in spinal and extremity adjustments, including drop table and activator
techniques, as well as manual and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and therapy,
such as active release techniques, trigger-point therapy, cupping, and Instrument-Assisted Soft
Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).
Dr. Emily's practice focuses on musculoskeletal care, treating conditions such as
Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, discogenic pain (including pinched nerves, sciatic
pain, and associated numbness or tingling), and a wide range of other spinal and extremity
issues. Additionally, she creates tailored rehabilitation programs, integrating approaches like
Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). Her
practice is built on the philosophy of movement as medicine, with an emphasis on restoring
optimal function and movement patterns to improve patient outcomes.
