Dr. Erin Edmonds, ND graduated from Dalhousie University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Immunology before completing her studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, receiving her Doctor of Naturopathy degree in 2016. Upon graduation, Dr. Edmonds, ND returned to Halifax to begin practicing in her home province of Nova Scotia.
Passionate about all things research, health, and wellness, Dr. Edmonds, ND has an integrative approach to patient care and uses the most up-to-date research as the foundation to treat the root cause of disease and optimize all aspects of health. Her main areas of interest are in pain management, joint mobility, acute & chronic injury management, concussion management, as well as digestive heath, hormonal health, pre-natal and post-natal care, pelvic conditions (PMOS/PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis), male and female fertility support, mental health including stress, anxiety, and depression management, as well as metabolic health/weight management support and general wellness optimization.
Dr. Edmonds, ND is one of only a few providers in Nova Scotia certified in prolotherapy, a non-surgical advanced regenerative joint injection therapy to repair tendon, ligament, meniscus, and joint capsule injuries. As well, she is licensed to provide peri-neural injection therapy, also known as neural prolotherapy, a subcutaneous injection therapy for nerve pain, soft tissue pain, and paresthesia for conditions like whiplash injuries, complex regional pain syndrome, muscular referral pain, and other injuries related to soft tissue damage or overstretch injuries.
Dr. Edmonds, ND is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, and is licensed by the Nova Scotia Chiropractic and Naturopathic Regulator.
