About Hal
Dr. Hal Huff, ND, MSc.
I am a naturopathic doctor, clinician-researcher, and full-time faculty member at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. After graduating from CCNM in 1998, I completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Research Methods from McMaster University’s Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact. At CCNM, I supervise two clinical shifts and lead (and developed) the Patient-Centered Integrated Studies course series.
In working with you, the students and I strive to provide fully collaborative, evidence-informed, holistic care. We prioritize your individual needs, preferences, and values, working closely with you to ensure your care aligns with your personal goals. By fostering a collaborative relationship, we aim to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as an active participant in your health journey.
I support patients managing a broad range of health conditions, including men’s and women’s health, mental-emotional wellness, chronic pain, gastrointestinal concerns, and cardiometabolic health. My clinical focus includes managing diabetes and related conditions such as overweight, metabolic syndrome, and fatty liver disease. In addition to helping patients achieve their glycemic and preventative goals, we also explore dietary approaches to [diabetes remission](https://diabetesaction.ca/understanding-type-2-diabetes-remission-new-research-new-resources/).
